Children move to the Prep School at the start of Year 3.
Our Admissions policy states: “Year Two pupils in the Pre-Prep will almost always automatically move into the Prep School, provided they do sufficiently well and make appropriate progress throughout the course of the Pre-Prep. They should also demonstrate that they will benefit from a place in the Prep School and can comfortably access the curriculum. If additional support is required, then parents are informed and discussions take place as to how best their child can be supported.”
Children can join Holmewood at any stage of the Prep School, subject to the availability of places and entrance assessment, which involves standardised assessment tests, a satisfactory report from the child’s current school and a successful assessment day with time spent in class.
