Scouting is offered as an extra-curricular activity for boys and girls in Years 3 – 8. Our scout troop belongs to the worldwide family of Scouting – the Scout Association. Our Scouts and Cubs are given the opportunity to take part in adventurous activities as well as learning valuable life skills. Personal development and team building opportunities are also part of the programme.
Scouts and cubs of all ages work towards attaining awards in their chosen activities.
Cubs (for girls & boys in Years 3, 4 & 5) takes place on Mondays from 5 – 6 p.m.
Scouts (for girls and boys in Year 5, 6 & 7) takes place on Wednesdays from 7 – 8 p.m.
It makes sense for those attending Scouts to board on Wednesdays as some activities take place away from the school grounds and, if children are boarding, we don’t need to worry about keeping parents waiting if the activities run late.
All Scouts have the opportunity to work towards their Chief Scout Award.
